Publisher THQ Nordic, unable to conceive of a reality in which Alan Wake 2 doesn't release physically, has offered to do precisely that for developer Remedy. As the venerable distributor reminds the talented studio, «I mean… we did the disc version of Alan Wake for PC back in the day.»
In case you missed it, the long-awaited sequel to Alan Wake is coming to PS5 on 17th October, where it aims to be the most graphically impressive game on the platform… at least, until the next big game comes along.

Am I going to have to download 95 percent of the game regardless after inserting the disc in like a lot of games now which effectively makes the disc pointless aside from being a very expensive drink coaster? If so don't even bother guys.
This is quite an unusual intervention from a publisher right? I mean, good for them. Remedy’s decision is a shocking one.
@PegasusActual93 I see people bringing this up all the time but this isn't the case at all, it's rather an exception. If you mean D1 patches, that is absolutely true but, unless otherwise stated on the case, there has to be a gold master on the discs.
