The Switch eShop closed out 2023 with a small drop: What will 2024 bring?
Happy New Year! Are you ready for 2024? I am! 2023 gave us a ton of great games to play, but we also had a lot of bad gaming industry news dropping steadily throughout. Hopefully, this year will bring better tidings as some of the sectors recover and come back stronger.
In the meantime, here’s a quick recap of what’s been happening on the Switch eShop for the past few weeks. Studios pushed out everything they could at a rapid pace before the holiday, just as users unwrap their new Switches and redeem their eShop gift card money. After that things slowed down to a crawl, with only eight total games coming out the week of December 28 through January 3.
