The Pokemon Company today announced that the Pokemon Center pop-up store will return to London for the 2023 Pokemon Europe International Championships.
The event, which will take place in ExCeL London from April 14 to April 16, will allow attendees and members of the public to purchase a variety of premium Pokemon merchandise and exclusive International Championships products not available elsewhere.
The pop-up Pokemon Center was last in London in August 2022, during the Pokemon World Championships. VGC attended the event, and while the first two days saw shelves fully stocked, as it continued some items, including the highly in-demand Pikachu plush, sold out.
During the 2023 Pokemon Europe International Championships, the Pokemon Center will be open from 8:30am until 6pm on April 14, 8am until 6pm on April 15, and 8am until 4pm on April 16.
Those looking to attend the store can now booktime slot reservations in order to guarantee entry to the store, although there will also be a general queue for those without timeslots.
The pop-up Pokemon Center debuted in the UK in 2019. The Westfield Shepherds Bush Pokemon Center pop-up store was open for four weeks between October and November 2019, with daily queues of up to five hours. More than 30,000 customers visited the store, it’s claimed.
The store stocked exclusive items such as the London City Pikachu plush, which sold out before 2pm on most days.
