To refund a PlayStation Store purchase, ensure you’re eligible for the refund (see the policies in the next section), then follow the following steps.
Open a web browser on your desktop or mobile phone and launch the Sony Support site. On the site, in the “What Do You Need Help With?” section, select “PS Store & Refunds.”
In the expanded menu, choose “PlayStation Store Refunds.”
You’ll now see an option to start a live chat with the Sony Support team to request a refund. Initiate the chat by selecting “Refund Assistant.”
In the open chat window, type your first and last name, then select “Start Chatting.”
At first, you’ll chat with a chatbot that will ask you various questions regarding your refund. The first question is if you’re the owner of the account that has been charged. Here, select “Yes.”
The next question is for what content type you want a refund. Select the appropriate option. We’ll choose “Return a Game or Add-On.”
The chatbot will ask why you’re returning the item. Select a reason from the given list.
