There's no shortage of great games on Nintendo Switch, but the hybrid console happens to be particularly great for playing JRPGs on it. In case you haven't heard of this series from Square Enix, Octopath Traveler II is an old-school RPG that mixes classic gameplay influences from the NES and SNES eras with fantastic HD-2D visuals. It looks both modern and retro in its design, and it has a wealth of content to experience as you explore the lives of several characters. Like the first game, Octopath Traveler II has a deep Final Fantasy-style class and customization system mixed with non-linear exploration, which is influenced by other JRPG heavyweights such as the SaGa and Bravely Default series.
