Kevin Feige's revelation that the MCU plan now goes up to 2032 sounds epic, but this news isn't as grand as it seems. After three phases and more than a decade of the MCU being devoted to the Infinity Saga, the franchise is currently in the process of rebuilding. MCU Phase 4 is in full swing laying the groundwork for its next big overarching narrative. Yet Marvel Studios has already, apparently, mapped out its storytelling a full decade ahead.
It's an understatement to say that the MCU has come a long way since its inception in 2008 with Iron Man. The franchise has grown exponentially through its first three Phases, culminating in the two-part finale that was Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. As it rebuilds and reinvents itself for its next chapter of storytelling, Marvel Studios has also launched a successful TV pocket through Disney+. It's still unclear what MCU's next overarching narrative is as it's currently focusing on sequels and origins stories, but during Disney's CinemaCon 2022 presentation, Feige at least shared that the MCU is planned up to 2032 and will include new and old characters.

Based on Feige's CinemaCon 2022 announcement, the MCU's narrative has already been decided through the next decade. Marvel Studios has always been known for playing the long game, setting up projects years before they are actually released.
