Amazon just released the highly-anticipated teaser trailer for its upcoming Lord of the Rings prequel series, and it's quite possibly everything one could want from a really short trailer that doesn't actually reveal much. Of course, that's not to say it doesn't show anything. Far from it, in fact.

Close-up shots of several characters show off some of the action viewers can expect in the series, and it's much more exciting than the character posters revealed earlier this month. A daring mountain climber holding on with just a knife, Ismael Cruz Córdova's elf archer Arondir catching an arrow mid flight and swiftly redirecting it with his bow, and a bold cavalry's charge led by an armored Morfydd Clark as Galadriel are just a few of the glimpses that are sure to get fans searching for their fainting couches.
