After multiple delays, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will actually hit its PS5, PS4 release date of 25th May 2023. It has been confirmed the game has gone gold today, meaning launch day is locked in — unless Daedalic Entertainment pulls a Cyberpunk 2077. With work on the base game complete, the developer's attention will probably turn to making a day one patch for the PS5, PS4 versions.
«The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has gone gold,» a new tweet explains. «The team can't wait for you to begin your journey in Middle-earth.» Pre-orders will go live tomorrow, so expect the game to pop up on the PS Store in the next 24 hours.
First thought to be releasing in September last year, the Gollum simulator has looked more promising in a few recent showings. A recently released story trailer contained probably the game's best look yet, and now there are just a few weeks to wait until it's out. Are you excited about The Lord of the Rings: Gollum?
