Horizon Forbidden West’s Aloy embarks on a new adventure this week when Burning Shores releases exclusively on PS5. According to PlayStation Game Size on Twitter, the file size in Europe is about 16.7 GB and 14.921 GB in Japan, though the amount of installation space it could take up remains to be seen.
Also, though it’s quite a step up from The Frozen Wilds DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn (8.4 to 9 GB), the latter was released only on PS4. With how the PS5 handles file compression, it may not be the best comparison. We’ll have to wait and see which expansion is truly “bigger” in content.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is out on April 19th. The expansion is set in the ruins of Los Angeles, which has become an archipelago thanks to volcanic activity. She must investigate a new threat (likely the giant Metal Devil featured on the cover art) and travels to a new Quen settlement, Fleet’s End, to do so.
