In a new update to the ever-growing DLSS games list, NVIDIA announced that DLSS 3 (Frame Generation) will be added today to Housemarque's Returnal with a patch.
It is great news, as the otherwise great roguelike first-person shooter/bullet hell game launched in a poor state on PC due to constant stuttering even on high-end hardware. The issue was alleviated but not completely eliminated with subsequent patches, so I'm hoping DLSS 3 can prove to be a decisive aid in that regard. I'll be testing the patch very soon; meanwhile, NVIDIA provided their own benchmarks, which you can check out in the image below.
As usual, they only offer a comparison between DLSS switched entirely off and turned on including Frame Generation, but at least they provide a ballpark of the average frame rate that owners of RTX 40 Series GPUs can expect in Returnal now.
Today, NVIDIA also confirmed that the upcoming single player action/adventure game The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will support DLSS 3 (and DLSS 2, of course) at launch, which should certainly help performance when ray traced reflections and shadows are enabled through the in-game settings. As a reminder, the official system specs released for Gollum were rather high.

Owners of GeForce GTX cards can still activate Reflex to lower the system latency and use the Nvidia Image Scaling upscaler to gain some performance back when needed.
NVIDIA also released the first RTX trailer for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, showcasing the game with the aforementioned ray traced options activated.
It's not all about DLSS 3, either, as a few games have just introduced DLSS 2 support: Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 6 and GUN JAM, a rhythm action FPS. Both games
