The upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be emulated on PC at 60FPS using Yuzu or Ryujinx.
Last week, we reported that copies of the highly-anticipated Breath of the Wild sequel were already out in the wild, and people were already getting the game to run the game on PC. Today, we can report that 60FPS on PC is already achievable within Tears of the Kingdom, although you'll need quite a beefy setup in order to be able to achieve this performance. On Reddit and YouTube, there are several posts and videos available of the game running at 60FPS in both Yuzu and Ryujinx.
As reported by DSOGaming, most of the gameplay videos have already been taken down by Nintendo. As expected, there are still various visual issues with the game running being emulated on PC. Of course, one should remember that this game isn't even out yet on the Nintendo Switch. Going by the progress that the emulation community has already made, it's only a matter of time before the title runs flawlessly on PC.
Those that are into emulation will probably know that the game's prequel, Breath of the Wild, is one of the most popular emulated titles on PC. Of course, this game was also released on the Wii U and is being emulated via the popular CEMU emulator, which emulator has been in development considerably longer. Then again, given time, the community will likely have Tears of the Kingdom running in the same shape as Breath of the Wild soon enough.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches later this week on May 12 for the Nintendo Switch. Want to learn more about this highly-anticipated Breath of the Wild sequel? Check out our "everything you need to know" article right here.
