Sky Islands are some of the most extraordinary locations to check out while playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. We first begin our adventure by exploring the Great Sky Island, then we have to return to Hyrule Kingdom, and walk on the ground, looking up longingly at those gorgeous ruins circling the skies.
Thankfully, there are many ways to revisit them and explore new ones that crop up while uncovering the many locations on the surface of Hyrule. Not every method to get to a Sky Island is foolproof, and it does require a lot of creativity, but these are some of our favorite ways to get back to the Sky Islands and start exploring them in Tears of the Kingdom.
The Best Ways to Get To Sky Islands in Tears of the KingdomYou spend the first few hours in Tears of the Kingdom on a massive Sky Island called Great Sky Island. This location serves as a tutorial area for you to explore, learn the basics of the game, and prepare yourself for the much larger open world awaiting you. Because you start at this location, reaching it is not a problem. However, the other Sky Islands that you can find take a bit more effort and some creativity.
How to Use Recall to Get To Sky Islands in TotKThe Recall ability has become one of our favorite ways to get to Sky Islands, mainly because it involves finding a recently fallen chunk of ruin, and riding it back up to the stars. The Recall ability was one of the showcased abilities in the early Tears of the Kingdom trailers and takes the same method to rocket back up.
How it works is you track down a chunk of ruins that have recently fallen or one with which you can use your Ultrahand ability. After you’ve found one out in the wild, jump on top of it, and then use Recall to rocket
