HBO's The Last Of Us has just concluded its first season. The show has been lauded for its performances from its stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, the sensitive and well considered changes from the game, and emotionally impactful moments that have hit basically every time. But aside from the human moments, some fans have thought that one particular aspect hasn't been clicking.
While most viewers have been enjoying the adaptation, there have been repeated discussion on forums and across the 'net that the show is lacking a component that was vital to the game's tension and success. That would be the clickers of course. "Not enough clickers" is the basic complaint and the showrunners, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, are aware of the criticism and addressed the concerns in a recent interview.

While viewers did get to see many clickers in the early episodes of The Last of Us, as the series progressed some fans started to get antsy about the lack of clicker action, and the creators of the show have seen these complaints about the irregular presence of the fungal infected. But fans can take heart that Season 2 will feature "a lot more infected".
Speaking to reporters during a virtual press conference (via Variety), Mazin said: "Ultimately, we generally stressed the power of relationships and trying to find significance within moments of action.
"And so there may be less action than some people wanted because we couldn't necessarily find significance for quite a bit of it, or [there was] concern that it would be repetitive", he continued.
