The Last of Us fans are preparing for a remastered release of The Last of Us Part II. While the original game is not that old, having the power of the PlayStation 5 allows the developers to go back and touch up the game. But this is not just a simple remastered release. There’s some extra content to get players to pick up this gameplay experience if they have already played through the original release. One of the game modes that might make the pick-up worth it will be No Return.
I’m sure you’re familiar with No Return. This game mode has been heavily discussed since Naughty Dog unveiled The Last of Us Part II Remastered. It’s a roguelike mode, constantly dealing with new challenges and runs. Don’t think of this as playing through the campaign over again. Instead, selected levels will be set up for players to progress through. However, as you can expect, players don’t know what these levels might contain. As a result, you could be in for a real battle with swarms of enemies, bosses, and other notable adjustments to keep you on your toes.
That might sound like fun for some players, but one developer who had worked on the game is warning players to expect some stressful moments. Thanks to Insider Gaming, we’re finding out that Del Walker, a senior character artist for Naughty Dog, chimed in about the upcoming No Return mode. This developer took to the X social media platform and stated that this is not a game mode for the weak-hearted.
