An artist turns Frozen's Olaf into scary, biology-themed Disney fan art. Popular with both kids and adults, Olaf is a standout of the Frozen franchise. Audiences fell in love with him during the first movie in 2013. This continued with Frozen 2 in 2019, when Olaf had several of the film's funniest moments, including a charades scene where he impersonates Elsa and another later on where he recaps the events of the first movie. In both Frozen films, Olaf proves essential to the story as well, helping Anna, Elsa, and the other characters on their respective journeys.
Unsurprisingly, Disney has made Olaf a focal point of the Frozen franchise, even outside of the movies. He's led several shorts since the first film came out, including Frozen Fever, Olaf's Frozen Adventure, and Once Upon a Snowman. Following the popularity of the Frozen 2 scene, Olaf also starred in Olaf Presents, a Disney+ series of shorts that finds him recapping other Disney films, including The Little Mermaid and Tangled. All told, Olaf remains an enormously popular character, perhaps one of Disney's most well-known in the last decade.

As such, Olaf has inspired a lot of art in recent years, including some by animator Kim Hazel. Hazel takes the character in a surprising and inventive direction, imagining Olaf's biology to terrifying effect. The art even caught the eye of Olaf voice actor Josh Gad, who reshared it on his own Twitter account with a simple "OMG." Check out the work below:
