- Unique Affixes
- The Grandfather — Ignores Durability Loss. This Affix can now no longer roll as a Greater Affix or be Upgraded via Masterworking.
Developer’s Note: For the Grandfather specifically, any existing Grandfathers that had a Greater Affix or Masterworking roll consumed by the Indestructible Affix will be re-rolled.
Players attempting to Masterwork The Grandfather recently discovered that the 25% buff to a randomized item affix when Masterworking milestone ranks appeared to be failing occasionally when upgrading this Uber Unique. However, according to a Tweet by Adam Fletcher, this behavior “technically isn't bugged. It’s landing on a hidden affix for it being indestructible.”
The key takeaway here is that when the upcoming patch releases, The Grandfather can now be Masterworked without running into this issue, as the Masterworking milestone ranks can no longer land on the hidden Indestructible affix. Additionally, players who noticed this behavior when upgrading their own prized Uber Unique can rest easy knowing that their item will be re-rolled once the patch goes live.
