Golden Globe nominee Natasha Lyonne has provided an update regarding the production of Marvel Studios‘ movie. At the moment, details about Lyonne’s character hasn’t been revealed yet.
The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 25, 2025, as part of the MCU’s Phase 6. Besides The Fantastic Four reboot, the titular team is also expected to appear in the next Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars.
During a recent interview, when asked about what it was like joining the MCU, Lyonne was understandably hesitant on answering questions about her secret character in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. However, the acclaimed actress confirmed that she has already wrapped up filming her scenes for the project.
“I’m old enough to know that the whole thing is a gift and gravy and rare and [I’m] taking it in stride,” Lyonne shared (via ET). “I’ve already finished Fantastic Four, and I’m in the middle of Poker Face.”
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is directed by Matt Shakman, who previously helmed all nine episodes of the WandaVision miniseries. His work on the Elizabeth Olsen-led Disney+ show earned him two Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. The MCU reboot stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/ Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
