The Expanse: A Telltale Series is a new episodic adventure series from a reformed version of Telltale Games and Deck Nine (the team behind Life is Strange: Before the Storm and True Colors). Like the Telltale series of old this one largely focuses on story and player choice, which also means consequences, including characters dying. That said, with the right choices, you can largely avoid bad results for your team.

The final chapter of The Expanse recently dropped, and as you’d expect, it includes some pretty big life-or-death choices. One of the characters that may live or die is your cantankerous pilot Khan. Depending on the choices you’ve made, saving Khan be fairly tough, requiring certain things to have happened as far back as Episode 1, but don’t worry, we’ve got the roadmap. So, here’s how to keep Khan’s sassy self alive and kicking…
The easier way to keep Khan alive is to kill Rayen. If you do so, you and Khan will have a tense conversation (having bonded with Khan by giving her a cigar in Episode 2 may be a pre-requisite here). During the conversation I chose “Rayen betrayed his crew” and “I didn’t have a choice” as dialogue options. After this, you and Khan will team up to take on the pirate Tor. Hit all the quick time cues and Khan will survive.
If you choose not to kill Rayen, saving Khan becomes a little more complex…
If you’ve done all this, and correctly hit all the quick time cues during the battle with the pirates, Khan and Camina will come out on top, and then Virgil will tend to Khan’s wounds.
