Ubisoft Massive has other titles coming up, including Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars Outlaws, but support continues for The Division 2. Year 5 Season 1: Broken Wings is ongoing, and if you’re expecting new content next month, the wait will be longer than expected.
In an official tweet, the development team confirmed that seasons will last four months instead of three. It wants to ensure “more time and resources” to make technical improvements while adding new content. As a result, Season 2 of Year 5 begins in October, with more information coming later this year.
While the wait for new content is agonizing, it’s good to see the team focusing on the game’s technical state. The looter shooter has seen several issues related to memory leaks and crashes, so minimizing the same is ideal for everyone. As for what we can expect next season (aside from the new Incursion, Castle Rebuild, Manhunts and events), stay tuned.
