As part of today's The Division Day live stream, Ubisoft Massive revealed new information about what's coming to The Division 2 and the upcoming games Heartland and Resurgence.
Let's begin with the game that's already out. The developers shared a detailed Year 5 roadmap for The Division 2, which looks full of content updates. It will begin in June, but the PC Public Test Server will be updated tomorrow with Descent, the roguelite mode that will be the bread and butter of Season 1: Broken Wings. Descent will be available for free to all players. Season 1 also sees the continuation of the Castle Settlement rebuild, and the premium pass will add pieces of a Splinter Cell-themed outfit.
In Season 2: Puppeteers, Ubisoft Massive will add a new Incursion, the most difficult type of PvE content available in the endgame. Set in the Meret Estate, it'll see Agents once again facing off against the Cleaners faction.
For Season 3: Vanguard, scheduled for the Holiday season, The Division 2 players will go back to New York (the setting of the original game). Here, they will learn more about the rogue Agent Keener. Lastly, Season 4: Black Diamond plans to introduce a new story-focused DLC adding new zones, missions, and an entirely new endgame structure called Season 2.0.
All of the Year 5 Seasons will also come with new Manhunts, Leagues, and Events. Players will need to own the Warlords of New York expansion to access all of this content except for the Descent mode.
Ubisoft then moved on to discuss The Division Heartland, the free-to-play PC/console spin-off game spearheaded by Red Storm. It was revealed that all gameplay sessions in Heartland will start and end in Silver Creek's 'Rockit Rink' Base of Operations, where players can
