The Day Before is an upcoming MMO from developer Fntastic that's set to take place in a post-pandemic America. With an open-world that's overrun by zombie-like infected enemies, the game was first revealed back in 2021 and steadily became one of the most anticipated new games for 2023, with a growing fan base that emerged following its announcement.
In fact, prior to the news that Fntastic had entered into a tradmark despute over the name of the game, which led to the removal of the game's Steam page, The Day Before was among the most wishlisted games on Steam (opens in new tab). At the time, it was even ranking higher than other big releases including Starfield and Hollow Knight: Silksong, and second only to Hogwarts Legacy.
Following the dispute, The Day Before was pushed back, with the release now expected to land in November. The Day Before release date is now November 10, 2023. The open world survival game was originally due to launch on March 1, 2023, although a delay pushed the game back by 10 months. This isn't the first time that we've seen The Day Before delayed, with Fntastic originally missing a June 2022 window to shift development to Unreal Engine 5.
