On February 6, a devastating series of earthquakes struck south-central Turkey and northwestern Syria. The first one measured a 7.8, while the second nine hours later was a 7.7 on the Richter scale. These were followed by hundreds of aftershocks. When the dust cleared, hundreds of buildings collapsed leaving tens of thousands trapped in the rubble. Already 50,000 are reported dead, and it may be weeks before a final death toll is compiled.
It's not an exaggeration to call these earthquakes the worst natural disaster in modern Turkish and Syrian history. And given the significance of these countries to Assassin's Creed fans, it only makes sense that they'd band together to offer financial relief for the stricken countries.

The fundraising drive began yesterday with the help of several Assassin's Creed content creators and community sites, including AC Landmarks, AC Sisterhood, Access The Animus, the Assassin's Creed Subreddit, and many more.
