Hello Games has revealed a new update for No Man's Sky called Fractal, and it brings PlayStation VR2 support to the game.
Fractal, which is update 4.1 for the game, is live right now for all players and it adds support for Sony's second generation headset alongside «new immersive controls and next generation visuals» for the new VR platform, which is out today.
Here's what to expect on the PlayStation VR2 front:
PlayStation VR2 players, and everyone else too, can earn a new starship, the Utopia Speeder, which allows players to skim across planet surfaces at high velocity. Hello Games says today's update marks the launch of a new Expedition called «Utopia.» It «challenges players to work together and rebuild an abandoned solar system for the mysterious Utopia Foundation.» Other expedition rewards include the new exclusive Fearsome Visor helmet, a robotic drone companion, and more.
PlayStation, Switch, and Steam Deck versions of No Man's Sky now support gyroscopic controls. Plus, a new Wonders Catalogue shows off «your most incredible discoveries, from tallest mountain to strangest creature, giving explorers a detailed record of their journey and allowing players to compare their records with fellow travelers.»
For Switch players, Hello Games says there's new content for the platform in the form of all Nexus and Quicksilver missions, as well as the Trace of Metal story, which includes a drone companion and upgrades for the Minotaur Exomech.
