With only a couple of days to go before its official release, Bungie accidentally releases an early update for Destiny 2: Lightfall that locks players out from logging in if they've downloaded it. There seems to be plenty of excitement for the upcoming Lightfall expansion within the community, as Bungie has continued to release new details over the past few weeks, from blogs to videos. The latest trailer arrived inside of the recent PlayStation State of Play, giving fans their best look at how powerful The Witness really is.
Many players are expecting Lightfall to be one of, if not, the darkest chapter in Destiny 2 as the Season of the Seraph has left Guardians in a precarious position. Fans who have played through the finale will have seen the Traveler appearing to flee Earth only to be boxed in by a fleet of Darkness ships, with The Witness bearing down on it. Meanwhile, Lightfall appears to tap into a heavy vaporwave visual style, as players head to Neptune where Calus and his Shadow Legion threaten the hidden city of Neomuna.

This weekend, someDestiny 2 players saw an available update on the PlayStation 5 and after installing it, the title screen changed to the upcoming Lightfall logo and accompanying music. The reveal was posted to the Destiny 2 subReddit by a member named Zhentharym showcasing the new look and full title screen music, which many people seemed to enjoy as it definitely took on a darker theme. However, it appears that by downloading this update, players were locked out of the game entirely, being unable to log in.
