When The Challenge: All-Stars 3began streaming on Wednesday, May 11, The Real World: Portland roommates (and former enemies), Nia Moore and Jordan Wiseley returned to compete for the grand prize. This came as a shock to many viewers, as both competitors were involved in a major controversy that saw them take some time away from participating in the show. Amid the return of the enemies turned friends, the producers explained why they allowed them to return.
The last time that viewers saw Nia compete was on Battle Of The Exes II, when she was disqualified close to the final, due to verbally and physically assaulting Jordan prior to an elimination. This didn't come to a surprise to many, as the two didn't have a great relationship. They had issues dating all the way back to their time on The Real World: Portland together. The two got into a heated argument two years prior, when Jordan used a racial slur, which was appalling to most fans of the show. When viewers saw that Nia and Jordan from The Challenge returned to compete, many were extremely shocked that they were cast, but even more surprised that they'd developed a close friendship.
