Universal debuts new Nope footage highlighting director Jordan Peele's most ambitious horror movie yet following 2017's Get Out and 2019's Us. Coming to theaters this summer, Nope revolves around the residents of a lonely gulch in inland California, mainly ranch owners James and Jill Haywood, who bear witness to a series of unexplained events that appear to be extraterrestrial in origin and are subsequently tormented by a mysterious unidentified flying object. Peele once again writes, directs, and produces the horror film for Universal Pictures under his Monkeypaw Productions banner.
Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya reunites with Peele on Nope to lead the cast as James Haywood alongside Keke Palmer as Jill, co-owner of the ranch. The Walking Dead alum Steven Yeun also stars in a prominent role alongside Michael Wincott, Brandon Perea, Donna Mills, Jennifer Lafleur, Andrew Patrick Ralston, Keith David, Terry Notary, Wrenn Schmidt, and Euphoria's Barbie Ferreira in supporting roles. Nope's marketing campaign has kept its cards incredibly close to its chest, carefully teasing the film's inciting incident and showcasing its fusion of Western and alien invasion elements.
