Erin Moriarty, who plays Starlight in Amazon’s The Boys, has spoken about what it was like to film the show’s upcoming Herogasm episode. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Enis and Darick Robertson, the hit superhero parody has often pushed the limits of good taste and sought to prove that nothing, and no one, is sacred. The recently released season 3, episode 1 even managed to send up an infamous Ant-Man and Thanos meme with explosive and typically bloody results.
By all accounts, however, that shocking scene is only a taste of what The Boys viewers can expect as the new season 3, episode 6 seeks to adapt the original comic’s Herogasm storyline. Centered on a Vought sponsored, sex-fuelled romp for their cohorts of depraved, corporate superheroes, the original comic arc saw the Boys attempt to infiltrate the annual Supe event. The character of Soldier Boy, who was first introduced in the Herogasm comic issues, has also been adapted for The Boys season 3, played by Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles.
