The Bad Guys Blu-ray Release Date Revealed

Universal has announced the Blu-ray and DVD for the Dreamworks Animation feature film The Bad Guys will be available on June 21, 2022. Loosely based on the children's book of the same name by Aaron Blabey, The Bad Guys revolves around a notorious criminal group of anthropomorphic animals who attempt to become model citizens after a heist gone wrong to avoid a prison sentence. Oscar-winner Sam Rockwell leads the film's ensemble voice cast, including Marc Maron, Awkwafina, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Richard Ayoade, Zazie Beetz, Alex Borstein, and Lilly Singh.

Universal has revealed that the Dreamworks Animation film The Bad Guys will be available to purchase on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD as early as June 21. This also includes bonus features for the film, including deleted scenes and an all-new original short entitled «Maraschino Ruby,» featuring a mini-adventure following the loveable outlaws as they go rogue once again.

Directed by French filmmaker Pierre Perifel in his feature directorial debut, The Bad Guys joined other recent family-friendly films like Sing 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog 2 in being a box-office success after grossing over $200 million worldwide. Moreover, the film received positive reviews from critics and racked up a strong 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It's unclear whether the success of The Bad Guys will lead to a sequel as of now, but meanwhile, audiences can rewatch one of the year's most colorful and entertaining flicks in the comfort of their homes from next week.
