The first looks at Bumblebee and Optimus Primal in the upcoming film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has found its way online. Announced in June 2021, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be a sequel to the 2018 film Bumblebee and will have a time jump to the 1990s. The movie will feature classic characters from the Beast Wars incarnation of the Transformers franchise, including the different factions of the Maximals, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed 2) and has cast Anthony Ramos (In The Heights) and Dominique Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah) in the lead roles. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime voice actor Peter Cullen is confirmed to reprise his iconic role. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was originally slated for release on June 24, 2022, but was later delayed almost a whole year to June 9, 2023. While the film is still a year away, it feels appropriate that artwork for some of the main robots was revealed on what would have been close to Rise of the Beasts' original release date.
