Jujutsu Kaisen Just Set Up the Death of a Powerful Sorcerer

With Gojo trapped in the Prison Realm after the Shibuya Incident, the Jujutsu Kaisen students participate in the Culling Game to find allies and eliminate enemies. In Chapters 188-189, the newly allied Kinji Hakari fights against Hajime Kashimo to steal his points, but the stakes rise higher and death is inching closer.

In Jujutsu Kaisen, the Shibuya Incident left the world of jujutsu sorcerers in shambles after Jujutsu Kaisen's most powerful sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, was sealed in a cursed object called the Prison Realm. This lets the evil Pseudo-Geto gain power and initiate the Culling Game, a battle royale across Japan that uses players’ cursed energy and barriers for an ancient ritual that will destroy humanity. To free Gojo and save the world, the team must look for a sorcerer named Angel, whose cursed technique has the ability to extinguish other cursed techniques. At the same time, Panda recruits Kinji Hakari to hunt down another powerful sorcerer named Hajime Kashimo, whose 100 points can be stolen to create rules favorable to the team’s mission. Although Hakari and Kashimo’s techniques stretch Jujutsu Kaisen's battle system and become complicated as the fight progresses, the constant use of their powers pushes the risk/reward factor to the brink. By the end of Chapter 189, the two sorcerers are gambling for their lives as Jujutsu Kaisen sets up one of them, or both, to die.
