The overarching lore of The Legend of Zelda isn't exactly the most linear or fleshed out. The canonical order of the series has been established mostly based on guesses and references, and even then there are certain inconsistencies. And yet, there is a loose thread to tie it all together. With this in mind, Breath of the Wild players have been scouring Hyrule for clues ever since Tears of the Kingdom was announced.
Considering that it's essentially the same map of Hyrule, and assuming that Nintendo had at least a notion of a sequel, it's not farfetched to think that there may be some references to the upcoming game somewhere in BotW. Of course, there has been plenty of speculation based on the trailers, but some people prefer concrete proof.

One player seems to think they've found something, and posted their findings on Reddit (thanks, Dexerto). "Replaying BoTW in preparation for the release, noticed one of the 8 Gerudo heroines has an interesting emblem," wrote TheEggRoller, along with an image of Link next to one of the Gerudo Heroine statues. A tear-shaped emblem is present on this statue, along with a red background.
If you've been keeping up with the TotK trailers, you've probably seen the tear-shaped stones which certain characters possess. While we still don't know their significance, it looks like they're important plot devices. Interestingly, the trailer revealed that Ganondorf possessed a red-coloured Tear. This led some players to speculate that this statue has a connection with Ganondorf himself.
