SYTYCD: Matthew Morrison Shares Message That Got Him Fired
Matthew Morrison is defending himself after being fired from So You Think You Can Dance for accusations of sending a contestant flirty messages. The Glee star turned short-lived SYTYCD judge only spent a few weeks on the show before announcing his departure due to breaking «competition protocols.» Matthew joined the SYTYCD judging panel for the 17th season alongside new judges season 4 runner-up Stephen «tWitch» Boss and dancer and pop star JoJo Siwa. After Matthew announced his exit from the show, more details came out about the real reason he left SYTYCD. Reports stated that Matthew was let go from the dance competition after sending a contestant flirty messages via social media that made the dancer feel «uncomfortable.» The dancer proceeded to go to a producer about the texts, and then Fox launched an investigation and fired Matthew. The show is expected to announce a replacement for Matthew soon. Given that the audition rounds have already been taped, Matthew will continue to appear on the judging panel for one more episode before the voting rounds begin.
