Despite only being in our hands for a couple of days, PlayStation is already showing all you PS VR2 owners what you can look forward to over the course of 2023. One of the five PS VR2 titles shown off during today's State of Play showcase was Synapse, a mind-bending first-person shooter that lets you devastate your enemies with telekinetic powers.
Developed by nDreams, the same creators that made other VR titles such as Fracked, Phantom, and Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity, the game takes place in an abstract world and has a heavy focus on dual-wield combat. In one hand you have a reliable pistol that you can use to shoot enemies or environmental hazards, while the other allows you to pick up objects and throw them with your telekinetic powers.

This telekinesis is performed via motion control and even makes use of the PS VR2's eye tracking feature to enhance your aim. The PS VR2's Sense controllers will also add to the immersion, as the game also makes use of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, making Synapse a game that fully makes use of all the PS VR2's nifty little bells and whistles. Combining regular weaponry and your powers, you'll need to make your way through a variety of encounters in a hostile world full of baddies out to get you. As for when you'll be able to get your hands on Synapse, we don't currently have a specific release date, but it will launching at some point in 2023.
