Pokemon Go players can now catch the elusive Kecleon much more easily, thanks to a recent update from developer Niantic. Kecleon made its debut in the game at the start of this year and quickly became a favorite among players. The unique encounter method which involved approaching Pokestops and spinning them to engage Kecleon in battle however came with a few bugs.
The news comes from a trainer on Reddit who recently discovered that Niantic turned one of these bugs into a feature. This made Kecleon visible on Pokestops outside of the player's radius if the Pokestop was tapped on, but instead of removing the bug, Niantic simply turned the glitch into a feature. The change has made it much easier for players to locate Kecleon in the wild and catch the creature, eliminating some of the frustration involved in finding this particular Pokemon.

The response from fans to the new feature has been overwhelmingly positive, many trainers being pleased that Niantic has listened to their feedback and made the game a little bit more enjoyable. Some have even been suggesting that Niantic should continue to turn unintentionally helpful bugs into features in the future. In the words of one trainer, “some of the best bugs make great features."
This isn't the first time Niantic has turned a bug into a feature. In the past, the "remember last ball used" bug was transformed into a feature that players now appreciate. With the rate at which updates are currently being released, players may find even more instances of unintentionally helpful bugs being turned into features.
