Some of the most surprising additions in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's final character pass are finally receiving their own amiibos, and this September, Minecraft's own Steve and Alex will be available to purchase. For a sizable period following the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the announcement of which new character would be arriving as DLC was the most hotly anticipated news in the industry. Development for Smash Bros. Ultimate has concluded but not before the game added popular characters like Final Fantasy VII's Sephiroth, Kingdom Heart's Sora, and Minecraft's main protagonist Steve and Alex. And like most of the Smash Bros. cast, amiibos for each are on the way.
Nintendo has released amiibos for many of its popular characters since 2014. The first batch of the small plastic statues were released alongside Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Many fans prefer to collect the figures. However, not everyone knows that amiibo contain the ability to house a digital version of the figure's player. The characters can be leveled up, learn special skills, and even train online against other characters when fans are not actively playing. Many players have been leveling up and training against their favorite amiibos for years. Now Steve and Alex mains won't be left out of the fun.
