When it comes to choice-based narratives in gaming, a lot of fans will point to titles like The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Life is Strange as some of the key releases that define that genre. Created by French developer Don't Nod Entertainment and published by Square Enix, Life is Strange proved to be a unique story about a girl with time-bending superpowers who has to use those abilities in order to save the people around her and the small town of Arcadia Bay.
Releasing back in 2015, the game sold well enough to earn a prequel game in Life is Strange: Before the Storm, which launched two years later. Compared to the first game, Before the Storm didn't earn as many favorable reviews, but both titles were considered detailed and engaging stories by both fans and critics. The original Life is Strange, and Before the Storm were compiled into a new release announced back in 2021 entitled the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection.
