Pros and content creators alike are struggling against the game's level-8 CPU opponents.

Street Fighter 6's AI opponents aren't messing around, and they are dishing out some serious pain to experienced fighting game pros.
The demo for Capcom's upcoming fighter is now available on all platforms, and that has given plenty of content creators and high-skilled players the chance to take the game for a spin. Though the demo is fairly barebones (only two characters, Ryu and Luke, are available for players to learn), it does offer the ability to play against AI opponents.
CPU opponents in Street Fighter 6 have eight different levels of difficulty to choose from. The majority of those levels aren't all that challenging, even for newcomers. But a quick look at Street Fighter 6-related-content on YouTube shows that many of the biggest creators and players in the fighting game community are having a hell of a time taking on the game's level-8 CPUs, specifically Ryu.
Numerous videos, like this one from popular fighting game content creator Maximillian Dood or this one from jmcrofts, show just how punishing Street Fighter 6's max-level CPUs can be. They seem to predict every jump and throw, and have no problem doing extremely optimal combos that can take out half of their opponent's health bar in the blink of an eye.
«AI is taking over so many aspects of our lives these days, but I refuse to let the bots win,» jmcrofts says at the beginning of his video titled «Fighting Game AI Has Too Far.» He then proceeds to be beaten over and over again, even going so far to implement a running death counter.
