We've all had that nightmare where you walk downstairs in the middle of the night to grab a snack, but you first have to defeat your fridge in hand-to-hand combat before you can do so. Just me? Well, not anymore as Capcom confirmed all of you, at least those of you who will be buying Street Fighter 6, will be able to fight a fridge later this year, briefly showing a clip during its showcase where the character stumbles upon two of the household appliances prime for a scrap.
With only a couple of months to go until Street Fighter 6 is finally here, slotted neatly into what is shaping up to be the busiest video game summer of all time, Capcom had an awful lot to show off on Thursday evening. A demo for the highly anticipated fighting game is available now on PlayStation, and the studio has even outlined some of the characters being added via DLC. Kotaku handily highlighted what might have been the best moment of all, though. Those aforementioned fighting fridges.

The fighter comes face-to-face with the fridge and seems to be immediately thwarted by the various food items being thrown their way. Seriously, as you can see below, the fridges really have the upper hand(le). The one bringing up the rear isn't helping much, but I'm assuming once the front fridge has been defeated, it will be fridge two's time to shine. The battle gives off the same vibes as when players were faced with beating up a car in Street Fighter 2, except this time, the inanimate objects fight back.
