Kelton is back one last time in Starfield, and this time, he has finally thought of a solution to New Atlantis’s growing tree problem. We’ve had to deal with dodgy officials extorting us for information, and frustrated colleagues who are only looking out for themselves. Now we have a whole new hurdle to cross.
Turns out the tree Kelton is investigating is trying to reproduce and none of the trees on New Atlantis are responding to its vibrations. It’s believed the tree will vibrate itself to destruction, likely causing damage to New Atlantis itself. Kelton thinks he knows how to resolve the issue, and in this guide, we are going to walk you through his master plan.

Naturally, if you want to start ‘Late Bloomer’ you need to complete both ‘A Tree Grows In New Atlantis’ and ‘Out On A Limb’. After some time has passed, you will get an update in your Journal informing you that Kelton has a new task for you. Once this has been received, head back to New Atlantis and talk to him.
Kelton believes that if you can find this tree’s mate, he can prevent it from destroying itself. Here’s the thing though, Kelton is fairly certain the tree in question was uprooted and shipped to the Freestar Collective after the war as a sign of peace. Naturally, the tree died because the idea behind moving a tree across the galaxy is bafflingly stupid.
Despite that, there is some hope. Rumour has it a branch from that tree is on display in the Coe Heritage Museum. If you can get your hands on it, Kelton will be able to synthesise its DNA
