As the name suggests, the Collector’s Edition of Starfield is an elaborate package for those who wanted more than just the Bethesda game. For $299.99, the bundle notably comes with a Steelbook display case, a patch with the Constellation logo, and a watch with its own custom case. However, some fans are now experiencing issues with the watch specifically, just one month after receiving it.
First spotted by The Gamer, a post on Reddit from user Tovrin says their collectible Starfield watch is now “dead”. They go on to say that, after leaving it on charge, the item is no longer functional. Upon initially contacting Bethesda support about this, the initial response wasn’t quite so helpful. However, after the post went live, a representative for Bethesda reached out regarding the issue.
Others in the thread chimed in with issues they’ve had with the watch. User AedarSIVA says their watch died within a week, adding that “the software seemingly bricked itself”. User UncompletedJute said their watch “died after four days,” and they’re still waiting on a replacement. Others, like user Pulse_Attack, notes that their watch simply had dead pixels. While many testimonials here veer towards the negative side, some have reported positive experiences with the gadget. In response to another comment, user NoVanNoLife explains “I wear mine everyday to work and it’s still working fine. Only charge it maybe twice a week and never leave it overnight, it’s quick to get fully charged even from nearly empty.”
