Blizzard has once again earned the ire of its long-suffering Overwatch 2 player base, packaging a couple of eagerly-awaited Diablo 4 skins inside the game's pricey Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle for Season 7, which is now live on PS5 and PS4.
The particular skins in question depict Moira as the demonic Lilith, Daughter of Hatred, and Pharah as the fallen archangel Inarius, central characters in Diablo lore. They look pretty good, too, which is part of the problem. Blizzard leaned on the skins in marketing material for Season 7, and fans were quite surprised to learn that the only way to unlock them was to shell out for the premium Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle, which will run you USD $40, or £32.48.
Previously, skins such as these could be earned in-game or at least through Battle Pass progression. Over on the Overwatch 2 subreddit, a diplomatic post quickly went viral, with many sharing strong, nuanced views on the current state of the game and this latest pricing news:
The Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle comes packaged with a total of nine items, which you can peruse below.
