The tools in are going to be Kay’s best way of making it through the game’s various challenges. There are tools for nearly every situation, and many of them will become second nature for you by the end of the game. You can combine these with other tricks and Nix’s abilities to become unstoppable as you make your way through the game.
Some tools in are better than others, but they are all obtained somewhat similarly. You will gain access to them at different parts of the game, and it is technically possible, although unlikely, for you to miss some of them. You will want to grab every tool available to you to get through the game as smoothly and stealthily as possible.
Star Wars Outlaws is full of meaningful choices, but one that has players curious about each outcome is whether they should sell Nix to the cook.
Kay will have a group of tools by default from the very beginning of the game. This includes the Grappling Hook, which is used to make it from platform to platform; theGlowlamp, which is like a flashlight; the Electrobinoculars, which help you find landmarks and other treasures, theBacta Vials, which are technically consumable, but you often have a complete inventory, and Grenades, which are also consumable but are easy to find.
Some of these, like the consumable Grenades and the Bacta Vials, can be improved through various Expert abilitiesin , but others will not change as the game progresses. The Grenades are interesting in that, while you may have access, the game does not teach you how to use them or what they dountil a bit further into the game's early hours.
The Glowlamp is not very noticeable, but that is partially because Kay will use it automatically in dark areas, and its convenience is quite good.
The upgrades for the default tools are as follows:

Scoundrel’s Pouch
