Rumors are a type of optional quest you can accept from characters throughout the galaxy. Most will be accepted from regulars at Pyloon's Saloon, but you'll also meet Prospectors out in the world who can give you more missions. You can track the ones you have from the Rumors tab on the pause menu, and they'll also be marked on your map once you've accepted them.
Below you'll find a list of all Rumors locations and walkthroughs. We've provided images and descriptions detailing when we were given the Rumor. Please note they may be handed to you out of the sequence presented below. We were given different Rumors at the same time on different save files, so simply search for the Rumor you have in our Table of Contents above and continue from there.
According to a Koboh local, several prospectors went to inspect a nearby cave, and haven't been seen in some time. There has long been speculation about what exactly lurks in the cave, so it would be worth checking they're okay.
You can start this Rumor by talking to the Prospector in Southern Reach located next to the Meditation Point at the Rambler's Reach Outpost. She'll send you into the Sodden Grotto west of your position, which is just inside Hunter's Quarry. Once inside, follow the path through the cave network, using Push when necessary.
You'll find out what happened to some of the Prospectors by scanning Databanks along the way, but at the end of the Sodden Grotto, it's a Rancor that awaits you. It's difficult to
