A recent Star Wars fan film shows the aftermath of the Battle of Endor. The final film of the original trilogy, Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi, showed the conclusion of a civil war between the Galactic Empire and a rag-tag group of Rebels. After two films of science-fiction fantasy action, the Rebels seemingly defeated the Empire at the Battle of Endor, after a two-prong attack against the Emperor's second Death Star and the Imperial base in the jungle on one of Endor's moons. Princess Leia and Han Solo, with the help of the small yet mighty Ewoks, destroyed the space station's shield generator on the ground while Lando Calrissian, Nien Nunb, and Wedge Antilles took out the Death Star above.
The battle proved crucial for the downfall of the Empire. It saw the destruction of their most terrifying weapon and the death of their leader, the evil Emperor Palpatine. However, the Empire still had fleets positioned throughout the galaxy, troops on multiple planets, and government control. The Battle of Endor was a resounding win, but it wasn't the end of the war.
