The Obi-Wan Kenobi series missed an opportunity to reference Jabiim’s dark history with the Jedi from the Clone Wars. Assisted by the Jedi sympathizer group known as The Path, Obi-Wan evades the Empire with Princess Leia, but during his time on their Jabiim base, he observes a pile of lightsabers whose owners are all likely deceased. While this likely references the Jedi Purge, the show could have made Jabiim more than a backdrop by bringing some of its dark Clone Wars-era history into the current canon continuity.
The Star Wars Legends continuity was the franchise’s official timeline until it became an alternate universe in 2014 in preparation for the sequel trilogy. Its depiction of the Clone Wars, via Republic comics, the Star Wars: Clone Wars micro-series, and a plethora of other content, included different content from canon’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series. This includes the Battle of Jabiim, which was one of the Galactic Republic’s most devastating defeats. Not only did scores of Jedi, clone troopers, and Jabiim’s Republic loyalists perish in combat, but the battle brought Anakin Skywalker even closer to his eventual fall to the dark side of the Force.

Republic forces fought against both Separatist droids and Jabiim’s Separatist-aligned human commandos, who gradually killed a group of aspiring Jedi nicknamed the “Padawan Pack,” of which Anakin was the only survivor. During the battle, Obi-Wan and the ARC Trooper Alpha were believed dead (actually captured) and Anakin used the dark side to choke a Jabiimi loyalist when he and the Republic abandoned them to the Separatists.
