10 shows are still in the pipeline for the Star Wars franchise after Obi-Wan Kenobi. Starring Ewan McGregor as the titular Jedi Knight, the six-episode Disney+ series served as Star Wars’ third live-action show. It was also the franchise’s first major installment of the year, with at least a few more to come in 2022.
In exploring the years that followed Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi has provided some deep insight into what was going on with Obi-Wan, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader prior to the beginning of A New Hope. And though the timeline of events puts a limit on what Star Wars can do with these characters, Obi-Wan Kenobi’s six-episode story has only explored a small chapter in their lives, thus making it possible for Disney and Lucasfilm to continue his journey. But for now, the status of Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 remains unconfirmed. In the meantime, Star Wars has quite a few shows left on its current slate.
