There is one well-known Wookiee in the Star Wars universe aside from Chewbacca, and it seems as if the two are on a collision course that will inevitably decide who the galaxy's strongest Wookiee is.
Chewbacca was introduced as Han Solo's co-pilot of the millennium falcon in the very first Star Wars movie. With a loud roar and hairy demeanor, Chewbacca instantly became a fan favorite and the Wookiee species has since grown incredible fan interest. More recently, another Wookiee has been introduced since Marvel took over publishing Star Wars comics. His name is Black Krrsantan and is much more of a brutal fighter than Chewbacca. Though Star Wars needs to bring back Chewbacca's rivalry with Bossk, Krrsantan also is a formidable foe for the galaxy's favorite Wookiee. He serves as a ruthless mercenary and recently made his first live-action appearance in the Disney+ show The Book of Boba Fett.

In Han Solo and Chewbacca #3 by Marc Guggenheim David Messina, Han and Chewie are hired by the gangster Jabba the Hutt to steal the ashes of his dead rival. After a disastrous attempt to claim it, Han eventually tracks it down to a merchant. He tells Chewie to wait by the ship while Han, along with his father, enter the woman’s home to steal it. When they arrive, they find Stormtroopers already knocked out. Then the pair are attacked by the Wookiee Black Krrsantan. So with Han in trouble, it’s likely Chewbacca will come back to help.
