As a reminder to Animal Crossing: New Horizons players old and new, Isabelle has just announced that the fireworks shows will be back for August. Traditionally, every Sunday in August has featured a fireworks display at night, beginning at 7pm and continuing until midnight. This is the third summer that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been around, and the fireworks have been a fun feature of the game since the beginning.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is known for its seasonal events, including everyone's least favorite Animal Crossing character, Zipper T. Bunny. In addition to this egg-fest of a holiday, Animal Crossing also has events for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Festivale, and more, though it calls its winter celebration Toy Day to make it non-denominational.

According to the official Animal Crossing Twitter account, run by the peppy and civic-minded Isabelle, the fireworks show will be accompanied by other returning activities, like Redd's Raffle. Redd runs a prize counter, where players can buy a random prize, like small fireworks, balloons, bubble wands, fans, and treats. Additionally, Isabelle gives out one free hat per island, so if players visit each other's fireworks celebrations they can get multiple colors.
While the fireworks show is not the most involved holiday in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it does allow players to customize the fireworks on display. To do this, players need to speak with Isabelle, and choose fireworks based on custom pattern designs. The fireworks cycle between ten designs, and will repeat.
