With Independence Day just a day away, people have already started the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the country's independence. This year's celebration is going to be different as the Government has introduced Har Ghar Tiranga campaign as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to mark and celebrate 75 years of India's independence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also urged people to keep the national flag of India as their profile or Display picture over the social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, among others. He even encouraged people to hoist the flag at their homes on August 13 to 15th. Those who have participated, can download the Har Ghar Tiranga Certificate online.
It can be known that the program of 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign was approved by the Home Minister Amit Shah. "It envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag at their home," the blog post on the Har Ghar Tiranga portal informed. It further added, "the idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and promote awareness about our national flag."
