UniVersus has announced that two more very famous franchises are being added to the ever-growing list of recognizable IP that it's teaming up with, as both Star Trek and Tekken 8 sets are coming later this year. This news was announced alongside some new information on the already known Godzilla sets releasing on June 21.
We'll get to the new announcements first though, as Universus has revealed that four Challenger Series sets based on Star Trek: Lower Decks are in production, a popular animated series that's currently in its fourth season. We don't have a release date for them just yet, with only a release window of 2024 right now, but we do know they will contain characters such as Ensign Beckett Mariner, Ensign Brad Broimler, and Ensign D’Vana Tendi
Thankfully, that's not all the Star Trek that UniVersus will have to offer this year, as it has also announced another Star Trek product is coming this year called Star Trek: Star Realms. The details of this mystery product are pretty scarce, but we know that it's being made in collaboration with Star Realms developer Wise Wizards, and will be released in Q3 2024.
Even less is known about UniVersus' collaboration with Tekken 8, but a collaboration with Bandai Namco for an upcoming CCG product is in the works. This will include characters from the game itself, though we don't know which ones right now, and the product will release at some point in 2024.
On top of all that, UniVersus also gave us a better look at the Godzilla Challenger Series that launches in just a few months, including the key art for the series and some cards. On top of the cards revealed today, the Godzilla Challenger Series will also include both Mothra and Kiryu (not that one), while King Ghidoran will be teaming up with Rodan and Bionic Menace. You can check out the cards for the main kaiju down below, alongside their snazzy alt-cards.
If you're wondering what's next for UniVersus, the game's collaboration with Critical Role will be the next
